This course is designed to provide the student’s knowledge and skills sets in order properly identified and control hazards associated with permit-required confined space entry operations, The student shall receive training on Confined Space air monitoring, Confined Space Entry equipment, and skills on how to conduct both a horizontal & vertical entry in accordance with OSHA “Permit Required Confined Space” standard 29 CFR 1910.146 and 29 CFR 1926.21
This course is designed to train students on entry and introduce them to basic rescue operations pertaining to OSHA Permit-Required Confined Spaces.
Course Learning Objectives:
After this course the student will be more knowledgeable of the OSHA Confined Space Standard, 29 CFR 1910.146 and how to perform limited entry rescue. This course meets the basic requirements of the NFPA Standard 1006 (Chap. 7) for Awareness Level.
Note: This course can be expanded to 32 or 40 hours so as to meet the basic requirements for Operations Level Technical Rescue in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006 and NFPA 1670
