Description

If language is humanity’s greatest achievement, writers are surely our flag bearers—telling our stories, opening our eyes and bringing joy to our lives. But with so much of a writer’s professional activity happening far from public view, it remains a path shrouded in mystery.

So in this special post–Writers Week forum, we’re giving literary fans and budding scribes a treat: a panel of accomplished University of Adelaide–associated authors will shine a light on the “writer’s life”.

How do professional writers get their ideas? Do they work 9-5, or whenever inspiration strikes? Are any personality traits particularly helpful? And with so many aspiring authors competing for attention, what can they do to get noticed?

We hope you’ll join the conversation.
