As the region is home to individuals from a multitude of cultures and backgrounds that are interacting with each
other and with a host of complex technologies, the GCC represents vast opportunities to employ the principles of
Human Factors/Ergonomics (HFE) in all sectors of society.

The seminar by Dr Shatha Samman with 20 years of experience as a Human Factors Engineer and
Research Scientist will provide a brief overview on the discipline with numerous demonstrations from various sectors will be discussed, along with identifying research opportunities and showcasing applications to highlight the ‘fit’.
