Event description

Description

We’ve all heard it: do your homework, research your target customer or prospective employer, know your market and industry. Fine, but how does one do so and where?

Expert business librarian Steven Assarian will help us identify and develop those essential skills to find and use the resources, particularly those available in digital format, that are available through your public library. Networking and refreshments bookend Steve’s presentation (sorry, couldn’t resist) which will run 6:15-7:30. Check in begins at 5:30; the evening closes with the door prize drawing at 7:55-8:00.

Steve holds a master’s degree in Library & Information Science, previously worked on the Google Book Project, and is a National Career Development Association (NCDA) Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP). He's worked in his current role with GRPL since 2011.

Free parking available in the library’s lot on east side of the building with parking validation provided by the library for those who attend the event.

BTW the tulips on the computer screen remind us that our event is on "Spring Eve" as spring 'officially' begins on March 20--a welcome relief from our snow and ice storms these past few weeks.
