Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator Didactic Session is offered through NUCATS to provide Clinical Research Coordinators at Northwestern University with skills necessary to complete study-related activities. Participants will learn clinical skills from trained nurse educators and experienced research coordinators and will have the opportunity to practice these skills.

The course covers

  • Vital Signs
  • Anthropometric Measurements (height, weight, hip circumference, waist circumference)
  • Phlebotomy
  • EKG

The class is limited to 10 participants and is only open to current employees of Northwestern University who are working in clinical research. The course is free of charge.


You will need to also complete the Clinical Skills Didactic Survey provided in the link below prior to registration.

Please note: The Didactic Session does not provide any certificates or documentation of skills training. In order to receive documentation of competency, you will need to sign up for a Clinical Skills Validation Session. In the validation session you will demonstrate competency in these clinical skills and receive documentation which meets the requirements for access and privileges at NMHC.
