Description

**RESCHEDULING - date TBD**

All Abbey Arts venues are closed to public gatherings through the month of March. We will be updating all reschedules of concerts, events, and classes in the coming days (as the guidelines are updated).

APRIL: Only select band tours and The Moth in April so far are rescheduling. We hope to be back bringing you connected arts experiences soon, but in the meantime: make art, exercise, meditate, get outside (with distance of course), remain calm and please take all the recommended precautions this month. We will post updates as we’re able.

Please also consider supporting local artists and nonprofits in this time of need, as you are able. We ask that our ticket buyers consider their tickets still valid for future reschedules and not to request refunds at this time. Lots of artists will be livestreaming shows soon, we hope to share more of those on our Instagram and Facebook pages in the coming days.

If you would like to further support the future of Abbey Arts and our work to keep music/community accessible to all, you can donate here.

We are incredibly grateful for our community, staff and volunteers. Thank you and stay safe!

Sincerely,

Team Abbey – Juliann, Nathan, Ashley, Brent, Sara, Dave, Taryn & everyone…

3/31 Abbey Arts and All Camp Present:

Esmé Patterson, Glass Beaches

March 13th, 2020 -

Denver’s Esme Patterson, whose new album There Will Come Soft Rains came out on BMG March 6th, regretfully announces that her upcoming album release tour has been canceled due to current health concerns across the United States. This includes tomorrow night’s scheduled Santa Fe show and all following dates through March and April. Speaking to the cancellation Patterson says;

With a heavy yet hopeful heart I must announce that I’ve decided to cancel our album release tour this March/April. I apologize for my inherited celtic tendency toward dark humor, but it does seem fitting that the tour for my apolcalyptic-themed album was cancelled due to a pandemic. It is heartening to see people across the world unite to make personal sacrifices so that the most vulnerable among us can be more protected. These acts of love give me a pure and bright hope that illuminates this frightening time. I will keep making music for you all until I die. No worries on that front. Sending all my love on the wings of my music to each of you. I’ll be releasing a music video for my song “all mine” soon and I hope to announce a new tour soon as well ♥️”

Esme would also like to let her fans know that her now unused tour merch is for sale on her official webstore to help cover the significant expenses incurred when cancelling a tour last minute. Please visit http://www.esmepattersonmusic.com for more information.

ESMÉ PATTERSON: https://esmepattersonmusic.com/

"Esmé Patterson is songwriter, gambler, singer, lover, thinker and explorer. She began as a member of the Denver Folk Pop septet, Paper Bird, and has written two records as a solo act including "All Princes, I" and her second and most recent release, "Woman to Woman", which is a concept album of responses from female characters in a broad range of well known love songs. The Guardian called it "defiant and witty", the New York Times found her voice "wiry and candid" with songs that "hint at mystery and mortality". Audiotree touts "By putting herself in the minds of characters like Jolene, Eleanor Rigby, and Billie Jean, Patterson has crafted a witty, dark, and intimate twist on the popular tracks." Esmé performs in multiple incarnations. She adds members to raise the volume and cadence of her tunes but remains powerful alone. Patterson is a magnetic performer and has appeared on the Leno, Conan and Letterman programs. Her co-writing with Shakey Graves led to sold out shows nationwide and millions of downloads of their collaborations. Esmé lives in Portland, Oregon, happily small under tall trees." -Artist Bio
