About this event
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) is a movement that ignites women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups and drive economic expansion worldwide. WEDO’s mission is to empower the 4 billion women worldwide to be catalysts of change and uplift over 250 million girls living in poverty worldwide.
Internationally 144 countries and 65 universities and colleges celebrate WED. (With a growing global legion of 333 global ambassadors activated in every continent). It is celebrated in major U.S. metropolitan cities. The WED Colorado Summit will be hosted by the lead sponsor, CU Denver School of Business Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship.
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper proclaimed Women’s Entrepreneurship Day an official day in 2017. The U.S. House of Representatives annually recognizes the WEDO movement on November 19th as “A Day in Honor of Women Entrepreneurs” under the leadership of Congresswoman Grace Meng.
WED Colorado Summit
The day opens with an empowering keynote address followed by breakout sessions in the morning, a lunchtime keynote, and a group leadership workshop after lunch. The day closes with a group session on the necessary elements of a dynamic personal brand.
Women entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders from diverse industries and stages of the business cycle are encouraged to take advantage of the WED Colorado Summit. There will be plenty of networking and one-on-one conversation time to catch up with business colleagues and make new connections.
Young women, ages 15 to 22, from throughout Colorado will have the opportunity to meet and learn from successful women of all ages and lifestyles. It will also provide them the opportunity to connect with role models and potential mentors.
This is a rescheduled event originally planned for Nov. 18, 2022. If you already registered for the Nov. 18 Summit, your ticket will be honored for this new date.
