Dr. Paula Kluth is a consultant, teacher, author, advocate, and independent scholar who works with teachers and families to provide inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities, and to create more a responsive and engaging schooling experience for all learners. Paula is a former special educator who has served as a classroom teacher and inclusion facilitator. Based out of Chicago, she travels the country to promote inclusion awareness. She is the author of more than 15 books and products on autism and differentiation of instruction. She is also the director of a documentary film titled “We Thought You’d Never Ask”: Voices of People With Autism. Kluth is highly-recommended by the Maryland State Department of Education and has twice been their keynote speaker.
Paula Kluth will be presenting a full-day workshop for Baltimore City Public School teachers and administrators on August 26, 2016, which is a day slated for teacher professional development. The theme of her presentation is “Don’t We Already Do Inclusion?” The presentation focuses on ideas for teaching diverse learners and how stakeholders concerned about inclusion can create change even when they are not in positions of power. The activities, examples, and illustrations in this workshop are designed to help participants refine their vision and their skills when it comes to inclusion. The ideas are at no or low cost!
