Description

This 2.5 hour clinic is intended for second-year MSFS students who are interested in studying the practical applications of international finance, as it relates to your future careers. Topics will include international sanctions and the global financial system, anti-money laundering, and anti-terrorist finance, among others.

The sessions will be led by Bryce Quillin:


Bryce Quillin is senior economist in the Global Modeling & Analytics Team and the Global Macroeconomics team in the Development Prospects Group, based in the World Bank's research and data division. Previously, he held research and operations positions covering economies in Europe, Central Asia, and East Asia at the World Bank and the IMF and has served as chief economist at a quant hedge fund that had a social impact objective. He has advised start-ups in the areas of investment management, data analytics, and content development.


His research and publications cover macroeconomic growth and development, financial development and regulation, and labor markets and migration. His research has been published in academic books and journals, World Bank and IMF publications, and policy briefings and has been covered by major media outlets such the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Bloomberg.


He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics.
