Down on the Farm, a sensory friendly event

Join us for the final event in the Crocker Kids Summer Event Series presented by Lake Ridge Academy and Northeast Ohio Parent magazine! Wrap up your summer at Crocker Park for Crocker Kids Down on the Farm event on Tuesday, September 18. This free event is ideal for parents, caregivers and kids so invite friends and join us for games and crafts, win prizes, make crafts, enjoy snacks, face painting, balloon twisting and so much more! A “fall farm” photo opportunity also will be provided free of charge.

Down on the Farm is an event for all children, with areas and activities that are specifically sensory-friendly and music played at a lower volume. There will be a “sensory table” from Northeast Ohio Parent with things to touch, smell and experience. We also will be holding a prize drawing for a Huggaroo Weighted Blanket. The event promises a fun, farm-themed afternoon for children of all abilities and interests and is a chance for awareness and understanding, whether or not your child has special sensory needs.

Registration new open!

FAQs

Is registration required?
No, registration is not required. Registrations are used to determine who receives the free t-shirts and other giveaways, gauge the number of attendees and to provide updates on the event series throughout the summer. Crocker Kids is free and open to the public. Walk-ups are always welcome.

When do I get my T-shirt?
If you were one of the first 250 registrants for the first Crocker Kids event in May, you can pick up your free T-shirt at the first 2 events, May 22 or June 19. Additional T-shirts may be purchased on-site for a nominal fee.

Do I have to stay for the entire event?
No. The event will have different activity stations that families can move through at their own leisure. If we have a performance or activity, we will provide a specific time for this performance. However, we do encourage all participants to stick around and take advantage of the other offerings at Crocker Park, including Truck Stop Tuesday.

What happens if there is poor weather?
We will make the decision in the morning on the day of the event to determine if the activities will be canceled. You will be notified via your Eventbrite registration email and we also post to our Facebook page and the event Facebook page. Should we cancel due to inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for the following Thursday.

Where is the event held?
The event is held on the grassy area near the splash pad. You can use the following address for your GPS: 267 Crocker Park Boulevard, Westlake, OH 44145.
