The Central CA Animal Disaster Team announces its 2023 weekend training program. This team training will teach the basic skills needed to respond in the counties that we serve. This program is focused on recruiting and training volunteers to help animals in Tulare and Kern counties during disasters.

Times: Saturday, April 15: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Check-in: 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.) Sunday, April 16: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Check-in: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.)

LUNCH SOCIAL: On Saturday from 12 noon - 1:00 p.m., CCADT will host lunch for all attendees. There will be food and beverages available.

Training topics include, but are not limited to*:

  • Coordination with emergency response agencies
  • Animal Evacuation & Shelter-In-Place Care
  • Emergency Animal Sheltering
  • Safe Handling of Small Companion Animals

In 2023, this new training program is FREE to all attendees. Minimum age: 18 years

Registration is required. If your schedule changes and you cannot attend, please cancel as soon as possible. Deadline to register: April 8, 2023

This program is the ONLY recruitment event for new volunteers being offered in the southern Central Valley in 2023. For the new recruits and current volunteers, continuing educational workshops will be offered throughout the year.
