Event description

Description

WE HAVE A NEW DATE: SUNDAY, APRIL 2nd. Please RSVP if you are able to make the new date.

Join us for a screening of the documentary All of Me, a film directed by Bess O'Brien. All of Me focuses on the lives of women, girls and boys who are caught in the downward spiral of eating disorders and their struggle to regain a sense of self-compassion and healing. The film also focuses on the parents who struggle with their children around this devastating disease. The movie gives hope to those struggling—people can recover and reclaim their bodies, their emotional connection with themselves and others.

The screening will be followed by a 30 minute panel discussion, with Bess O'Brien, people who are in the film, and MEDA clinical staff.

Check in and mingling from 5:30pm to 6pm. Screening will start promptly at 6:00pm.

  • We will have light snacks and water available for those attending the screening.
  • Parking is available in the municipal lots off of Cherry and Waltham Streets and in the bank parking lot behind the cinema off of Highland Street.

A trailer and more information about All of Me can be found at http://kingdomcounty.org/eating-disorder-documentary/

This event is brought to you by MEDA (Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association) and Walden Behavioral Care as part of Eating Disorder Awareness Week.

A suggested donation of $5 can be made at the screening. Students are Free.
