Event Details
The 2015 theme is "Integrating repositories in the wider context of university, funder and external services"
Repository Fringe provides an annual forum for repository administrators, developers/coders, and information professionals to interact and explore the application of innovative technologies including cultural developments (such as research data management principles and open data, social media, altmetrics) to their ongoing repository work in a relaxed and informal environment.
It draws on alternative meeting formats such as 'the unconference', 'hackdays', and the wired conference to create an active, participative and eclectic atmosphere within which to share ideas. A ‘festival’ mood is also enhanced by co-location with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which helps to attract national and international delegates to the forum.

User Group sessions
On Monday afternoon there is a user groups session scheduled for DSpace, EPrints and PURE – if there are additional user group platforms which you would like to see included in this session please let us know by emailing repofringe@gmail.com – we will then see if these can be integrated into the session with an appropriate session leader.
Challenges for Developers @Repository Fringe 2015
This year we are asking delegates to suggest their own challenges for developers. This can be anything, related to repositories, that requires some kind of technical development and that you think might pique the interest of other delegates (particularly the more technically minded).
We’re particularly interested in ways in which repositories can interoperate with other systems. In order to crowd source ideas, please use the freely editable Google doc.
This is not a competition and there will be no prizes etc. – just the satisfaction of collaborating with other clever people and the chance to show off what you have done at the end of the event.
Handouts
There will also be tables available in the Informatics Forum for delegates to share handouts – so please feel free to bring with you any information which you would like to make available to other attendees.
Accommodation
University accommodation is available on a first-come, first-served basis, details are available at http://www.book.accom.ed.ac.uk/. Please note, accommodation is in high demand at that time of year so early booking is advisable.
Photography
Please be aware that both the organisers and participants will be taking photographs throughout Repository Fringe. We will also be videoing most talks. If you do not wish to be photographed or videoed please make this clear to the organisers when you arrive at the event, or let those with cameras know.
