2017-18 Nonprofit Management Workshop Series: Reporting on Your Impact, Learning from Your Results

Having strong local partners that support small businesses is key to the success of New York City’s commercial districts. Our Nonprofit Management workshop content is curated to help staff and board members at nonprofit economic development organizations that execute commercial revitalization projects in their neighborhoods.

Location: 110 William Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10038

Description:

You’ve clarified your outcomes. You’ve even managed to collect some data. Now what? Many nonprofits invest time and energy in measuring outcomes but don’t reap all the rewards of their hard work. They submit findings to funders and then move on to the next thing. Don’t waste this valuable resource! Review your findings. Learn from them. Share them with others. Total course hours: 1 session, half day (10:00am - 1:00pm).

You will learn:

  • The "4 rights" of making data relevant

  • To match results with the interests of stakeholders

  • To present findings so they tell your program's story

  • Strategies to ensure that you use your data regularly

These workshops are ideal for leaders and professionals at:
  • Business Improvement Districts
  • Local Development Corporations
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • Merchants Association
  • Other Community-based Development Organizations
