Repeating and Recycled: Public Exhibition Tour of Nathalie Du Pasquier

BIG OBJECTS NOT ALWAYS SILENT, featuring the work of Nathalie Du Pasquier, shies away from being labeled a retrospective. Instead, the layout of the exhibition, just like Nathalie’s oeuvre, is cyclical in nature. Repeating forms and recycled materials are commonplace in Nathalie’s work; Nathalie’s practice proves to be all-encompassing, or a gesamtkunstwerk. In a public tour by Francesca Richman, participants will be asked to contemplate Nathalie’s traversal between different media, as she remains constant to her personal principles and inspirations.

FRANCESCA RICHMAN is a MA candidate in the History of Art at the University of Pennsylvania. Francesca is from Connecticut and graduated from Bucknell University with a double BA in Art History and Italian Studies. While broadly interested in modern and contemporary issues, Francesca’s research focuses on public art and architecture. She is currently involved with Philadelphia’s Monument Lab. Previously, Francesca has held internships at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Glass House, and Phillips Auction House. Along with Jessica Hough, she curated Remote Control at Tiger Strikes Asteroid in 2016 as part of the Incubation Series.
