The repeal of Prohibition takes place on December 5, and we're throwing a party! Well, Repeal Day was actually on December 5, 1933, but we're throwing a party anyway! The great experiment is over and we've got just the thing to toast the occasion.
Old Forester Bourbon will flow freely from 6-8 p.m., as Brown-Forman Corporation joins us to give Downtown Tampa a taste of the end of Prohibition with the history of their booze and free samples of their modern-day hooch. Guests will also enjoy noshing on our signature Bizou charcuterie.
For those wishing to imbibe as if liquor actually was illegal for the past thirteen years, we will offer our well cocktails for Buy One, Get One Free from 6-8 p.m.
If you attended our Ghastly Gatsby Halloween Mixer in October, then you know that Bizou does the Prohibition proud. Our Bizou crew will be all dolled up as the fine flappers and gents that you'd expect from such an establishment, and we want you to dress up, too! Guests are encouraged to dress up in Prohibition era outfits as they drink and speak easy!
We'll also have live jazz music by Ric Santiago, our favorite saxophone player who always guarantees a roaring good time!
Come mark the end of an era with us on Repeal Day at Bizou!
