Description
THE 2020 RENO LEPRECHAUN CRAWL WILL NOT TAKE PLACE SATURDAY, MARCH 14th
Again, the 2020 Reno Leprechaun Crawl will not take place this Saturday, March 14th.
A MESSAGE FROM CRAWL RENO - EVENT IS ON HIATUS
Well, we've never had to do something like this, but we've also never had a pandemic on the loose. As the impact of COVID-19 has grown across the country, we have monitored it closely and our standard for whether to continue with the event was that if the City of Reno and Washoe County weren't suggesting canceling events out of safety concerns then we could go ahead.
Your safety is one of our greatest concerns above even throwing the best crawls in the nation, stretching your dollars and pumping money into local businesses. Once the officials within the City and County decided it wasn't safe to get folks to congregate then we're going to comply. They have public health officials. We have extremely good looking crawlunteers, but no doctors.
WHAT NOW?
You mean after we quit sobbing, right? While we will need to put our bar crawl on at another date to be determined (more info below), this does not mean we are in quarantine and it does not mean that any businesses are closing. All bars, restaurants and clubs will be open all weekend and they rely on your patronage to survive and would love to see folks. Use your best judgement regarding whether to visit them.
WHAT ABOUT HOTEL RESERVATIONS?
Hotels are open and ready, but if you decide not to stay you can call the following numbers and all of the hotels have assured us you will not get a cancelation penalty.
Sands Regency 1-866-386-7829
Silver Legacy 1-800-687-8733
Eldorado Resort Casino 1-800-879-8879
Circus Circus Reno 1-800-648-5010
I PURCHASED CUPS. WHAT DO I DO?
If you purchased them in person, hold on to these cups. If you purchased them online, hold on to your confirmation email.
We will be honoring the cups that have already been purchased and will announce details as soon as we can. We are discussing three options currently:
1. Postponing the event to another date
2. Creating an all new event and honoring all pre-purchased cups at that event
3. Allowing all who have pre-purchased cups to sign up for one of our current events later this year
ANYTHING ELSE?
Please keep yourself and those around you safe by continuing to pay attention to best practices like washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, engaging in social distancing and getting plenty of rest.
Thank you for supporting us and helping build this amazing community- we care for each and every one of you. We want everyone to be healthy and well rested because as soon as Reno is ready we're going to throw the MASSIVE party to celebrate getting through all of this!
WHO DO I YELL AT ABOUT THIS?
We get it. It sucks. We will honor pre-purchased cups at a future event. If you still have questions or just need to type an all-caps nasty message we want to hear from you.
