Below is a brief summary of Rennie's outstanding accomplishments:

Rennie Gonzalez arrived to this country from Bogota, Colombia when he was 3 years old. His father, being a glazier, had the idea of one day opening his own business, and in 1985 his dream came to a realization.

Rennie worked with his faterh throughout his high school and college years. Growing up, he always observed his father designing and building projects around the house and at his job so he decided he wanted to become an architect.

Rennie majored in architectural technology, receiving a Bachelor in Architectural Science from the State University at Farmingdale and upon graduation working for a Construction/Architectural firm for approximately 10 years.

Rennie worked in the windows and doors division and his responsibilities included meeting with clients, reviewing their projects and designing products.  He would manage the project from start to finish, gaining experience working with commercial projects and handling the administrative part of the business too.

His family needed help in the business so in 1999 Rennie returned to the family business.  Having set a great foundation during his years in the architectural world, he established beneficial relationships with architects and designers. Having those connections, he landed large projects in New York City that made his company, Oh My Gorgeous Shower Doors, become well known in the industry.

Rennie has been married for 10 years and has a 7 year old son. Being he’s a Hispanic role model, Rennie is a Boy Scouts den leader and spends all of his free time with his son.  He also belongs to the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corp. with a certification in Emergency Medical Technology.

OMG Shower Doors is a proud sponsor of The Re-building Together Long Island Association, a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to home repair for those in need.

RotaCare: Free Health Care for People in Need

Founded in 1992 by members of the Mineola‐Garden City Rotary Club, RotaCare was created to serve the needs of the uninsured on Long Island. It began when a group of concerned volunteers met at the Mary Brennan Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead. Many of these volunteers recognized that in addition to food, the medical needs of their clients were not met adequately by the healthcare system. Through the collaborative efforts of the Rotary Club, local healthcare professionals, area residents, and Mercy Hospital, a “MASH” team was formed to operate weekly at the soup kitchen. RotaCare was born. Since its inception, RotaCare has remained a Rotary District project and supported by concerned companies, organizations and individuals to sustain its good works and benefits to the community by providing free health care to people in need. In 2007, RotaCare expanded its scope again, and moved to larger quarters at the A. Holly Patterson Extended Family Care Facility in Uniondale.
