Event Information
About this Event
The Chippenham Neighbourhood Plan offers the community a chance to have a say on what sort of renewable energy developments we would like, where we would like them, and what criteria they must meet in order for planning permission to be given.
There will be two interlinked workshops organised by the Centre for Sustainable Energy who are experts in this area. The first workshop will be held on Saturday 15th February 2020 (9.30am-4.30pm). This will be followed by a 2hr evening weekday workshop (date tbc) to bring together views after everyone has had a chance to think about and discuss outcomes from the workshop with other people. Tickets for the follow-up workshop will be released after the 15th February workshop event has taken place.
The workshops will be highly participative.
Coffee, tea and a light lunch will be provided.
Project Outputs:
• A spreadsheet indicating the likely range of renewable energy outputs that might be achievable and acceptable to people in the local community
• An annotated map indicating favoured locations for particular technologies
• A report summarising discussions and notes from the workshops with favoured criteria for renewable energy policies
Your views matter, so come and have your say!
You don’t need to be an expert to contribute.
