"This workshop has gotten me exponentially closer to a goal I have had for nearly a decade. I can't believe I am walking away with a solid concept, outline...and new community of support. Thanks!"

"This workshop transforms the way you think about public speaking. It provides the right depth of knowledge and leaves you with a different perspective to craft your talk better."

(Scroll down for more words from previous attendees!)

Present Yourself is a workshop intensive experience designed specifically for new and emerging speakers. We empower attendees with the framework and confidence to begin crafting a first talk, and give them the support and feedback they need to grow.

Learn the importance of storytelling and how to use it, where to start in developing your talk, and write an outline of a short talk during class. We’ll guide you through developing your talk step by step. Then, we’ll lead the group in how to give and receive useful feedback from fellow speakers. You’ll learn how to present with confidence and get practice delivering your talk in a safe, supportive environment. If you’ve been wanting to speak but overwhelmed by how to do it, Present Yourself is the workshop for you.

You will leave the workshop with:

  • A clear system for crafting a compelling talk

  • Storytelling tricks to level up any talk

  • A draft of a 5 min talk and resources on how to expand it to your desired length

  • Tips for feeling confident on stage and on video (even on a bad day!)

  • A speaker’s sample video showing you speaking for 5 minutes

  • A new network of supportive fellow speakers

  • Resources for continued reading and exploration

Note: Crafting slides will not be covered in this workshop.

More from past attendees:

"A great immersive experience. This session was an excellent lab for me to workshop by speaking ideas and speaking skills."

"Such an amazing experience that allowed me to feel vulnerable and safe...which in turn helped me build my confidence, strategize my talk and extend my network to other like-minded women within the tech field."

"At first I wasn't sure why we would need two full days for this. Ultimately I was amazed at how much there was to learn. The program was very well put together... It was two days of pure delight."
