About the 'Forgotten Allies' documentary:
In the darkest hours of World War 2, thousands of men from Burma gave their lives fighting a brutal war for Britain against the Japanese, and to carry out the most successful guerrilla campaign of the war. But after the Allied victory, Burma sank into isolation, dictatorship and civil war, and Britain forgot the bravery of these men. Now only a handful of veterans remain - will they get the recognition they deserve before it's too late? One determined band of Brits is in a battle against time to make sure they do. Read more about the background to the story here.

About the evening's star speaker, James Holland:
James is an award-winning historian, broadcaster and author of Burma 44: The Battle that turned Britain's war in the East, alongside a number of best-selling histories including Battle of Britain, Dam Busters, and most recently, The War in the West. He has also written nine works of historical fiction, including the Jack Tanner novels. He has presented – and written – a large number of television programmes and series, and is also Co-founder of the Chalke Valley History Festival. He can be found on Twitter as @James1940.

We welcome audience members of all ages, although due to the format of a four-course evening meal, it may not be suitable for those under the age of 16.
How can I ensure my dietary requirements are adhered to?
We will be contacting all guests in the weeks running up to the event to clarify any dietary requirements the catering team needs to be aware of.
