Description

Dear Friend,

2018 marked the 125th anniversary of the Women’s Auxiliary to Chester County Hospital. Organized in 1893 for the purpose of extending the interests of the hospital to all parts of the county, the volunteer group also rendered personal service to the Hospital through Hospital-Auxiliary coordinated programs. Today the Women’s Auxiliary has grown to ten branches and hundreds of members and our purpose remains the same.

The members of West Chester Evening Auxiliary invite you to join us in our fundraising efforts by supporting our 2018 "Remembering Our Angels" appeal, an annual event to benefit Neighborhood Hospice In-Patient and In-Home Services. For a contribution of $35.00, a beautiful, die cut, cardstock ornament will be personalized with the name of one special person you would like to remember. Additional ornaments may be purchased at the same $35.00 rate. Our 2018 ornament is based on the artwork of Chester County Artist and resident, Richard Bollinger who generously donated his time and talent to this year’s appeal.

All proceeds benefit Neighborhood Hospice. Your generous donation will help provide the necessary financial resources so important to the healthcare professionals at Neighborhood Hospice as they continue to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual services to all Hospice patients and their families. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciated.

In 1987 Chester County Hospital added the services of Neighborhood Hospice to their Neighborhood Health division. Neighborhood Hospice provides quality, compassionate care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. A growing community means a growing demand for these vital hospice services, but federal funding has not kept pace and additional funding is needed.

2018 statistics indicate Chester County was among the top five fastest growing communities in Pennsylvania. A growing community means an increase in the demand for medical services close to home. To accommodate the increase in demand, the nonprofit Chester County Hospital has completed a new parking garage, the construction of the new addition is well underway and the range of services available to patients and their families increases on a regular basis. With this progress comes the commitment of maintaining the original traditions of quality, compassionate care for everyone.

During this season of giving, you are cordially invited to join us for our Angel Tree memorial service and tree lighting where attendees will be invited to hang their personalized ornaments on the Angel Tree, meet our artist and enjoy some light refreshments. This service will be held on Sunday, December 2, 2018 (snow date is Sunday, December 9, 2018) at 3:00 P.M., at Church of the Loving Shepherd, 1066 South New Street, West Chester, PA 19382. If you plan on attending, please RSVP on the attached response slip by November 28, 2018. Following the service all personalized ornaments will be displayed on the trees in the Family Lounge at Neighborhood Hospice for everyone to enjoy during the holiday season. If you have questions or require further information, please call me at 610-430-1698.

Thank you again for your generosity and best wishes to you and your family as you remember the angels in your life.

—Ginger Gray, West Chester Evening Auxiliary
