Event description

Description

Please join us to commemorate the 99th anniversary of one of Boston's most perplexing tragedies - the Great Molasses Flood of 1919.

Learn about how after a storage tank burst, wave of molasses rushed through the streets of Boston taking lives, injuring 150 and causing millions of dollars in damage.

Stephen Puleo, historian, teacher, public speaker, and author of DARK TIDE, will join us to discuss the flood, the characters involved, and the company that caused it. He will be welcoming questions after his talk and signing copies of his book.
Our friends at Papercuts J.P. will be selling copies of Dark Tide during this event!

Refreshments made with molasses will be served.

$10 for members* / $15 general admission*Individual membership good for one ticket, Family membership good for two.
