Recall the first 20 slaves with live Angolan cultural music moment

About this Event

The Embassy of Angola holds the event at the Smithsonia Museum of African Arts to honor and commemorate the first Angolan slaves who arrived in the US in 1619. As ancestors of these slaves, they invite the Angolan, African, American community and interested in knowing a little more about the contribution they made to the American community for participating in US development.

The event will be attended by several Angolan and American entities and will be presented with live music from Angolan cultural groups to celebrate this special date.
