As both a researcher and clinician, Dr. Stulberg has seen the widespread effects of religious hospital expansion on women’s reproductive care. Her overall research focus is reproductive health service delivery, with an emphasis on racial and socioeconomic disparities in reproductive care and outcomes. As co-director of the Research Consortium on Religious Healthcare Institutions, she has explored the issue of religious institutional policies and their effects on patient care and the doctor-patient relationship. As a family physician, she provides full-scope primary care at Friend Family Health Center on Chicago’s south side, and provides abortion care at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
