Studies show that nearly one quarter of people with mental illness approach their clergy first for help or guidance. Religion and Mental Health is a symposium for clergy and spiritual caregivers to explore and discuss this intersection. Participants will learn tips to navigate these issues from a psychiatrist and clergy who specialize in working with people with mental illness.

Topics Include:

- Recognizing symptoms of common mental illnesses

- Distinguishing between spirituality and psychiatric symptoms

- Meeting the spiritual needs of those with mental illness
