About this Event
Are you willing to take a long hard look at your debt - the credit cards, student loans, and anything else? I did. I wrote them all down. The total amounts and the interest. I also asked myself if I was going to allow credit card and student loan debts to keep me in fear, in silence, in shame. That's what debt can do (if we let it). Are you blaming yourself and punishing yourself because you did something wrong (worse, are you feeling like you are something wrong because you're facing all this debt)? So many of us associate debt with shame. Are you ready to tell a new story about your credit obligations? Are you feeling ready to change?
I keep reminding myself that I have always done the best I could with the information I had at the moment. When I felt ready to change, I read books, attended workshops, and I started to learn more about money trauma and financial freedom. I started to read and practice money management and I even created a budget that I use to guide my decision making. I also became mindful about my relationship with money. Every time I went to spend money, I asked myself, was I buying out of fear or scarcity thinking or was I buying from a place of joy, love, and abundance? All of that has started to take root and my financial life is changing.
In our two sessions together, I want to help you explore your debt and your stories (i.e., where does the money trauma still live and where are the fears in your spending) and then I want to help you create a path to money freedom through mindful spending and a more loving relationship with money (i.e., what are some of the ways you can begin to change old trauma patterns and trust yourself with money again).
If this speaks to you, join me for this two part session.
This is a space for BIPOC. I'd especially love single-parents and caregivers to participate. If you are the person everyone turns to for money, help, and support, this workshop will speak to you. I promise.
