About this event
“For too long, being strong has meant avoiding or denying how you really feel, holding painful experience in shame and secrecy, or pretending the sadness, worry, hurt and disappointment aren’t there.
Society has told us we have to be strong and silent about the hurts that we endured in the past because it makes us stronger. Yes! it is true our pain can become our purpose, our test our testimony, and our hurts our strengths. But if we do not release the pain, none of this can become our reality!
Our purpose is delayed because we are holding on to the pain, our test never becomes a testimony, and our strength is minimized by negative emotions.
Our emotionally bondage begin to manifest in anger, bitterness, overindulging in many areas, shame, mistrust, resentment, fear, low self-esteem, unforgiveness, depression, giving, wanting to belong, or working to prove oneself.
You can cover up the pain, but it does not heal it! Your healing begins when you acknowledge and confront the hurt and work to release it.
We must no longer carry the burdens of our past because of stereotypical views! God has pre-destined us to be Great!
An estimated eight out of ten women have experienced some form of trauma such as: intergenerational trauma, childhood trauma, abusive relationships, or sexual abuse.
If along your journey you got hurt, it is time to take back your POWER!
Carrying the weight of your past, dehydrates your spirit (negativity manifests) and the Living Water of God's Spirit cannot flow through you.
Rather than maintaining the expectation of being silent and strong, which can lead to anxiety, depression, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and more:
