What are the Saturday Online Sessions for Educators?

These online sessions are designed to reduce and release unwanted emotions around topics which sometimes causes stress or worry for those working in education.

What will we focus on this session?

We will be focusing on acknowledging, reducing and releasing those unwanted emotions and sensations in our bodies we have after being back at school for a week after the holidays - leaving us relaxed to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

In addition you'll be starting to learn some great techniques which you can use any time you need them - and not just for work-related issues. They can be used for phobias, anxiety, taking the 'sting' out of past memories, clearing self-limiting beliefs and so much more to improve your general wellbeing.

Anyone is welcome to trial it in September and I'd love feedback to make changes to the final version.

How will we do this and what is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping)?

We'll start by spending a little time breathing and practising how to feel grounded in moments of stress, worry or overwhelm and then we'll use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or 'Tapping') to reduce and release any unwanted emotions around this week's topic.

Don't worry if you've never done it before - it's a painless technique similar to acupuncture (but without the needles!) where I'll guide you through what to say and where to tap on yourself.

Rather than suppress unwanted emotions, EFT works by acknowledging and accepting them whilst gently applying pressure by tapping with your fingers on meridian points, allowing them to be reduced and released.

Will I have to share information about myself or my feelings?

Your microphone will be off and it is completely your choice whether or not you have your camera on or off.

You won't be asked to share any personal information with any other participants such as where you work, your role or any current concerns you have. You don't even need to share your name unless you have it on your Zoom picture.

A little about me

I'm passionate about supporting the welfare of everyone working in the Education system.

I'm a qualified EFT Practitioner and currently work in a school in the North West. I've been privileged to have variety of roles over the past 25 years: NQT, Lead Practitioner, Head of Department, Data Manager, a member of SLT and a Director of Teaching School so I really do understand the personal and emotional challenges of working with young people and the wider community.
