Description

Reinvent your career with help of personal business models and LEGO®

Are you thinking about reinventing your career or giving it a new direction?

Do you want to lead your career to the next level?

Do you want to take charge of your career development and get prepared for your next step on your profession?

BMY Book German

Most of us do not have a structured way to prepare for a career change or give it a new turn.

The Business Model You® process uses an easily understood visual tool to teach you how to describe and analyze both enterprise and “personal” business models. It shows you how to revisit your life direction and consider how you want to align your personal and career aspirations. You’re then ready to adjust your work life using the Personal Business Model Canvas.

Tim Clark introduces the use of personal business models in his bestselling book Business Model You offering a structured method that helps responding questions such as:

  • How can I add value?
  • How can I feel more valued and motivated at work?
  • How can I sell myself and my ideas better?
  • How can I create a job according to my skills and likes (inside of an existing organization or my own company)?
  • How can I identify opportunities in my current job?

Business models are an excellent frame to describe, analyze and reinvent your career.

Why business models? Don´t business models just apply to organizations?

A business model describes the rationale of how an organization creates, delivers and captures value. The Business Model Canvas, is a strategic management and entrepreneurial tool. It allows you to describe, design, challenge, invent, and pivot your business model.

In changing times, business models tend to change and you are also exposed to factors that you cannot control.

During this workshop, you will learn a tool that you can use for life to be prepared to face and prepare for changes.

You will consider yourself a one-person organization and use this tool to define and modify your personal business model, to take advantage of your skills and aptitudes to grow personally and as a professional.

Understanding how to describe and understand the business model of your organization (or of the organization where you would like to work) will allow to identify the elements that you need to succeed. Individuals that care for the organization’s success and understand how to achieve goals toward that are the most valued members and have more opportunities for growth.

By understanding the organizational business model, you will also understand how you align with that model to define, profile and develop your career and adapt the model to changing times.
