About this event
“If there is a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it." - Toni Morrison
As children, we often allow our imagination to run free. We dream. We believe. We show up fully. Somewhere along the way, the complexities and responsibilities of life into adulthood can silence the adventurer within us.
What would happen if we invited ourselves to tap back into that childlike energy? What might it feel like to become the author of our lives and REIMAGINE our stories? To recreate what’s possible for our lives?
Black Women In Nature welcomes you to join us for our Fall Retreat on Saturday November 5, from 10 am - 5 pm at Blacklick Woods Metro Park, Beech Maple-Lodge. This retreat will take place indoors of the Beech Maple-Lodge as well as outdoors for the hiking session.
This full day experience will include the following:
- Facilitated writing and journaling sessions
- Guided meditation and gentle yoga flow
- Community-led nature walk through the beautiful Blacklick Woods Metro Park (trail is easy to moderate)
- Catered life-giving meals + snacks to nourish the soul
- Reflective dialogue that centers self + community care
Invite a friend, dress comfortably and join us for a cozy fall day in nature as you create space to be present in your mind + body and seek your heart's deepest desires.
