Event description
create your own unique bracelet or necklace by recycling small found objects such as stones, sea glass, buttons, or shells.

About this Event

As part of Goodwood’s celebration of Earth Day 2020, Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary, and our continued dedication to preserving and reusing our Earth’s valuable resources, come and join Joella McGoogan from the Florida Society of Goldsmiths, Northwest Chapter (FGSNW), to create your own unique bracelet or necklace by recycling small found objects such as stones, sea glass, buttons, shells, wood, metal, game pieces, bottle caps, keys, nuts and bolts, broken jewelry or earrings with a missing mate, and other items you may want to include. There will be a small amount of found objects available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own and extra to share! We will be using mainly wire wrapping, drilling, and our imagination to attach these objects to create a “new” piece of jewelry. We will provide the antique brass chain, clasp, jump rings, and wire (sterling silver will be available for an up-charge). Tools will be provided and are included in the price of the class.
