Event description

Description

Join us as the students of Grady High School host an open discussion about youth homelessness in Atlanta and debut their original PSA videos for their 'client', Atlanta Mission. This event will bring together community leaders, policy makers, and local youth in efforts to bridge the gap between the voices of leaders of Atlanta and Atlanta teen voices.

The showcase will feature student’s work from re:imagine/COMMUNITY, an in-school program for high school students enrolled in video and audio production courses. re:imagine/COMMUNITY focuses on matching students with notable Atlanta professionals that serve as mentors and engaging the students' sense of empathy by addressing an issue that impacts their community. Event details include:

  • Virtual Reality Demo
  • Community Dialogues
  • PSA premieres for People 4 People (P4P) & The Underground
  • CURRENTS: Screening of 'The Homestretch' presented by re:imagine/ATL and the Atlanta Film Society

2016-2017 Program Supporters:
