Event description

Description

We would like to invite you to attend a private patron reception on Thursday September 28, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Bohemian Spirit Restaurant as part of the Rehearsal for Truth Theater Festival honoring Vaclav Havel.

This festival features the artistry from the Visegrad (V4) theater network which consists of Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Hungarian performing arts institutions. Over 25 partners have joined forces with the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation and BBLA to launch this festival in 2017. The actors, directors, producers, playwrights and choreographers of these four remarkable, highly topical and thought-provoking Central European theater productions will be in attendance at the event.

Directly after the reception you are invited to attend the presentation of the Award for a Courageous Writer at Risk by Ian Buruma and the play V+W: Letters from the Havel’s artistic “home” - Theatre on the Balustrade.

Your contributions to the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation will help fund literary contests for Czech and American students of drama and performance studies in the future.
