Ride with us virtually at the 27th annual UPMC Health Plan PedalPGH

PedalPGH is this weekend! The team at BikePGH has worked hard to create a new virtual event experience that will allow riders to safely experience our beautiful city, even as social distancing keeps us apart.

What can you expect in 2020?

Sweet swag, new routes, free ice cream & more! Ride one of four routes anytime during our PedalPGH celebration weekend between Thursday, August 27 and Sunday, August 30th. 

All registration proceeds will benefit BikePGH, a registered 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit, who works on behalf of the Pittsburgh community to make the city safe and accessible for everyone to bike and walk.

Four fun new route options for 2020!

 These fresh courses will help to spread fellow riders across the city over the four days during the PedalPGH celebration weekend (August 27, 28, 29, & 30th) and aid in social distancing. Ranging between 7 and 40 miles route options feature:

• 7 Mile – Peoples Local Loop
• 15 Mile – BikePGH Parks Tour
• 25 Mile – Aurora City Tour
• 40 Mile – Uber Ultimate Challenge

PedalPGH for 2020 will be a self-guided virtual ride. As in the past, colorful wayfinding signs will be up along the routes to guide you on your way (plus we will have Ride With GPS routes, TCX & GPX route files, and printed Cue sheets)! Or, participants can go truly virtual on an indoor trainer. We want the focus for this year to be simple – just #PedalPGH!

You get all the same perks from regular registration above + an annual BikePGH membership! Bike Pittsburgh is your local nonprofit bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organization. We work on behalf of the Pittsburgh community to:

• Advocate for safe, car-free transportation options via infrastructure and public policy.
• Bring people together from all parts of the city to experience riding and walking, engage with new ideas, and show support for car-free transportation.
• Educate in order to give people the tools they need to safely experience the city by foot and by bike.

This is NOT the registration to the ride. This is is A JERSEY ONLY. These items will not ship and must be picked up at BikePGH or at Packet Pickup. Choose this option if you already registered or cannot attend but want to purchase the jersey.

*Disclaimer: Originally we were going to order the Specialized RBX Jersey. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we could not order from Specialized because their factory is currently shut down and cannot produce any custom materials. We are now working with Primal and have chosen a jersey that fits very similar to the Specialized version. We know you will love it!

Event notes:

Registration rates increase each month.

New or renewing BikePGH Membership can be added to your registration for a discounted rate of $20 + the registration amount. 

Premium Registration includes a limited 2020 PedalPGH Jersey by Specialized Bicycle Components while supplies last and a new or renewed BikePGH Membership for only $75 more than the registration rate.  

All registrations for PedalPGH go to support the 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit BikePGH and are non-refundable. However, should you require a refund due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, please reach out to info@bikepgh.org for assistance.
