The Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership (ICMHP) invites you to register for the May 2020 Orientation to the Illinois Model of Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation! The orientation will be May 6, 7, and 8, 2020 at the Virginia Frank Cooper Center, 6639 N Kedzie Ave, Chicago, Illinois. There is no cost for attending. The orientation will take place on the following three dates and times:

  • May 6, 2020 - 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

  • May 7, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • May 8, 2020 - 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We can only accommodate 35 participants at each orientation, so we encourage you to secure your spot as soon as possible. Participants will receive 18 CEUs (social work and counseling) upon completion of this orientation.

Over the past few years, ICMHP has worked closely with our early childhood partners, state leaders, and private funders on the Mental Health Consultation Initiative (MHCI), a multi-year initiative designed to advance the goal of a universal, effective, and sustainable infant/early childhood mental health consultation model in Illinois, including expansion of a qualified workforce. The MHCI designed the Illinois Universal Model of I/ECMHC and is currently being piloted and evaluated for effectiveness across different communities around the state. The goal is to for I/ECMH consultation in Illinois be more consistent in how it is implemented and supported across all child-serving systems in Illinois.

The MHCI is also developing an online searchable consultant database, which will allow programs seeking a qualified consultant in their area to access a list of available consultants. The database will also be a platform for consultants across the state to search for events, professional development, and other opportunities.

Please Note: In order to be placed on the database, you must meet the minimum requirements of a Mental Health Consultant as identified in the Universal Model, which includes completion of the Orientation to the Illinois Model of I/ECMHC.

Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you at our next orientation! For more information, please contact Linda Delimata, ICMHP Mental Health Consultation Director, at lindadelimata@hotmail.com.
