About this event

**This is the first part of Registration for Emory Autism Center's 2020 ADOS-2 Introductory/Clinical Workshops. After you finish this registration on Eventbrite, information will be provided regarding how to complete payment to secure your participation.**

For more information on the workshops, please go to our website at EAC ADOS-2 Introductory/Clinical Workshop.

You must select a ticket for EACH PERSON you want to register for EACH ITEM they want to participate (e.g., workshops, CE credits, etc.).

For example, if registering 6 people in your organization for Module 1-4 Workshop and 1 of those 6 people for GPA CE credits, select 6 tickets for Module 1-4: Group Rate and 1 Module 1-4: GPA Credits (12 units) and at the checkout, you will be prompted to complete information for each ticket.

The Emory Autism Center (EAC) is pleased to announce 2 Introductory/Clinical Training courses for Fall 2020 on using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the EAC and Emory University are taking every precaution to support the safety and well-being of faculty, staff, and clients as well as visiting guests. With October approaching, we have decided that having the training in-person will not be feasible, especially for the many guests traveling from outside of Atlanta. Instead, we will be having the trainings virtually an online webinar, which will follow a similar schedule and fulfill the same requirements as the in-person clinical workshops. We have also decided to decrease the ticket prices to adjust for the changes.

The ADOS-2 is used to help in assessing and diagnosing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) across ages, developmental levels, and language skills. The ADOS-2 is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviors. By observing and coding these behaviors, you can obtain information that informs diagnosis, intervention, treatment planning, and/or educational placement.

We are offering 2 Virtual ADOS-2 Introductory/Clinical Workshops this year :1. Modules 1-4: October 1 & 2, 2020 (2 Days)2. Toddler Module: October 16, 2020 (1 Day). Both ADOS-2 training workshops provide experienced autism professionals with introductory training on the use of the ADOS-2 in clinical settings across ages, developmental levels, and language skills. *Participants need to have attended a Module 1-4 Clinical Workshop prior to registering for the Toddler Module Clinical Workshop. At the completion of the workshop(s), participants will receive a Certificate of Completion . To obtain the Certificate of Completion, participants will be required to log into the session within 10 minutes of the starting time, stay on throughout the training, and complete all activities prior and during the workshop(s).

Also, for more information on the ADOS-2, please visit www.wpspublish.com. **The ADOS-2 is designed to be administered face-to-face and without masks or other PPE equipment to be scored as intended. Please see WPS's position statement on the ADOS-2 at https://pages.wpspublish.com/telepractice-101.

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Dr. Allison Schwartz at assessment.eac@emory.edu.
