The Region A Leadership Summit 2017 brings together SWE leaders that are interested in expanding their leadership skills, engaging their members, and empowering women to create a strong sense of community. The event pulls together the professional and collegiate leaders in Region A to collaborate, discuss, and continue to refine the art of building an efficient and capable SWE organization. The event mixes conference-style sessions, panels, and networking opportunities to engage you. The Summit strives to empower, educate, and develop SWE leaders.

9:30 am - Registration, Opening Activities, and Welcome
10:00 am - Morning Workshops (Publicity and Active Listening)
11:15 am - Panel
12:15-12:45pm - Lunch
12:45 pm - Afternoon Workshops (Mentoring and Building Membership)
2:00 pm - Networking Session
2:45 pm - Closing

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
YThe closest parking structure is Upper Hearst Parking Structure and can be found on the Campus Map. This garage the closest parking to the engineering buildings and can be accessed from Hearst Avenue. Parking is NOT free; please plan to pay a fee for parking when you arrive.
If you are taking public transportation, please note the University is near the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. Please make sure to check the weekend schedule.
What should I bring to the event?
Bring something to take notes. No need to print out your registration confirmation. Just check in at the registration table to get your day started.
Bring your SWE or professional business cards. Bring more business cards than you think you’ll need!
When you’re planning your outfit, choose business casual. Pick something that makes you feel happy to help you exude confidence in what can be an uncomfortable setting.
