About this event
Join the International Living Future Institute for an interactive discussion about how to incorporate regenerative design principles into the District’s building performance standards.
Our panelists include:
This symposium and panel will discuss Local DC Law 24-176, 24-177, 22-257, and 24-420. Outlining DC’s Next 10 years of building performance and climate change policy implementation, we will share how scaling up market and community transformation must be critical tools to meet the ambitious goals of the city’s legislative raised bar for energy efficiency and carbon reduction. We will deep dive into DC’s Next 10 readiness, challenges, and tools, as well as explore opportunities to meet these green megalith milestones as DC ramps up for the nextgen built environment.
Without question, Next 10 marks a new era in the district, and the race to more high-performing buildings and communities has officially begun. As designers, builders, developers, community stakeholders, business owners, and residents of the district, how do we get to this future?
Please join the Institute and a coalition of partners as we engage local subject matter experts for an informative evening that seeks to highlight the transformation of our communities around climate, health, and justice.
