About this Event

Welcome to ‘Refugees' Voices Leeds: Past and Present’! We are a group of seven students who would like to invite you our “Meet the Curators” night: a special celebration of the exhibition we have been working towards since September!

Over the past months, we have been working with established refugee artists and our partner charity, RETAS Leeds (Refugee Education Training Advice Service), to hold free creative workshops for local refugees. The exhibition will celebrate the voices of current refugees in Leeds, whilst recounting those of the past, by showcasing the outputs of these workshops, the artwork of the established artists who have been involved in the project, and much more!

With beer provided by North Brewing Co. (other options will also be available) and speeches made by charity representatives, it will be the perfect way to join together in support of the local refugee community.

**All proceeds from ticket sales will be going towards local refugee charity RETAS (Refugee Education Training Advice Service), a charity working to build safe and secure lives for refugees and asylum seekers in Leeds**

Location: Leeds Central Library, Room 700

Date and Time: Tuesday 18th June, 5-7pm

We can’t wait to see you all there!
