Event description

Description

For the past year, refugees have been the target of many harmful policy changes that work to limit the number of new refugees to our state, keep families separated, and reduce access to essential services refugees need to successfully work, learn, and live in Tennessee. This cannot continue. We must work together to turn things around in 2018 to help ensure Tennessee is a state where refugees are not only welcome- but thrive.

Come join the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Coalition as we gather at the State Capitol in Nashville, Tennessee to show our support for refugees and policies that help to create a more welcoming state. On Tuesday, March 20, refugee leaders, advocates, and allies across the state will convene in Nashville in order to meet with their legislators and share their perspective, experiences, and opinions on why Tennessee should invest in refugees and support refugee resettlement in our state.

Together with the strength of our numbers and the strength of our voice, we can help create a brighter future for refugees and the resettlement program in Tennessee.
