Retreat: Spend a day away from your world. Relax in a beautiful setting. Revive your hope that tomorrow will be better.
Refresh: Gain a new perspective by looking at your journey through different eyes. Enjoy a day created just for you.
Remember: Bring a photo of your child or of you & your child together. Take home a personalized keepsake that you will treasure.
The Birdhouse Project: Our retreat will be focused around this interactive experience that will empower us to grow through the tragedy we have experienced in the loss of a child.
Who is invited?
If you are a mom who has experienced the loss of a child, this one-day getaway is for you! Adult daughters may accompany their mom. Bereaved grandmothers are invited to support their daughters. This event is for those who have had a recent loss as well as seasoned grievers whose loss was many years ago. Our invitation is extended to those outside of our area even if you have not attended our monthly gatherings.
What are my transport options getting to the event?
The address will be provided when your registration payment is received. If you need a ride, we will do everything possible to work out transportation for you with someone else who is coming from your area.
Do I need to bring anything?
Please bring a hammer and screwdriver for building your birdhouse.
Is there a cost to attend?
To cover expenses, we are asking each attendee for a donation of $30 to cover lunch and the supplies needed for our activities. Prepayment is appreciated. Payment can be made by PayPal or credit card during the registration process, or by check mailed to Teresa Welch, PO Box 333, Lincoln, CA 95648.
