Description

Join us for a diverse and wide-ranging exploration of our theme, including music from Amorous Jazz & the SeaGreen Singers, local narratives (My Oxford Story from 5.50pm), performances/films from Ruskin artists curated by Ruth Spencer Jolly (from 6:05pm), and Panel Discussion (after 7pm).

Guest speakers include: academic and South East England MEP Anneliese Dodds; ‘Seeds of Hope’ Ploughshares activist Andrea Needham, who helped to disarm a warplane bound for genocide in East Timor; Kerry-Anne Mendoza, author of the Scriptonite Daily blog, who left her career as a Management Consultant to be part of the Occupy Movement; OUSU Vice President for Women, Lucy Delaney; social entrepreneur Christine McDermott (founder of Relish); and food bank pioneer Emma Tinker.

Refreshments provided (pay what you can afford). We will be collecting donations of unwanted and unused/unopened toiletries, beauty products and/or dry goods for Project Shoebox Oxford, to help women start again.
