Reel & Raw is the much anticipated premiere of Experimental Film Virginia's short, dance-inspired films, created on location in Virginia.

About this event

Reel & Raw is the much anticipated premiere of the 2021 films of Experimental Film Virginia, Virginia's Most Unique Short Film Festival, a two week production process during which the films are conceived, created, and edited. The featured films of EFV are shot on location here in Virginia by artists who come from all over the world. 

The film premiere will take place inside the restored vintage Historic Palace Theatre followed by an outdoor bash featuring local bites and brews, wines and spirits along with live music featuring the iDox, an international band of ophthalmologists. Street dancing highly encouraged and recommended. Catered Food and Cash Bar available for purchase.

7:00 PM         Doors Open

8 PM               Premiere Film Screening at the Historic Palace Theatre

9-11 PM    Strawberry Street Pop Up Party with Dancing and Live Music by the iDox

Tickets $20, free admission 12 and under (ticket price includes film screening and live music)

All EFV events and programs are managed by the non profit, Global Exchange Arts Roundtable (GEAR). Our goal is to celebrate, enjoy and efficiently organize unique arts, culture, local food and drink events on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Every year, in the town of Cape Charles we make new short films and produce several events for our award winning Art Soaked Weekends. Featuring local and international artists, we use our beautiful state as a living landscape for art. Founded and directed by Renata Sheppard, this is a home-grown non profit comany.
