Dream Factory of North Carolina

Dream Factory is the only children’s wish-granting organization that does not limit its mission to children who have life-threatening illness. The organization believes children with chronic or critical  illnesses and disorders also suffer from substantial emotional and physical pain. We strive to provide hope and relief from the trauma and corresponding stress and depression that both the children and their families can endure on a day-to-day basis. Doctors agree that providing a dream can improve the quality of life for these children and extend the life of a critically ill child.

We are proud to be a volunteer run organization with a tremendous track record of efficiency. Over 92% of the money we raise is directly used to grant dreams for our dream kids. We can do this because we only have four paid staff members, a volunteer Board of Directors and all of our chapters are run by very dedicated volunteers.

We are proud to announce our partnership for this event with Carolina Princess.

Capt. Terrell Gould is a third-generation fisherman. In 1937, his grandfather, Capt. Dave, was one of the first captains to operate sport-fishing charters from the Morehead City waterfront, on his boat, the Harriet L. Capt. Dave was joined by his son, Leroy, in 1946. Capt. Leroy operated his boat, The Mattie G., until his retirement in 1998.

Capt. Terrell built his boat, the Harriet L., in 1975 and operated Gould's Charter Boats™ until his good friend Capt. "Woo Woo" Harker offered to sell him the Carolina Princess in 2006.
