Event description

Description

Join Master Dive Instructor Joe Bartoszek to become a citizen scientist by tallying fish while you snorkel and enter data into Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF)'s data base (the biggest in the world!). Meet at the BIC for an intro to fish ID and survey method. We will then carpool to Sebastian Inlet for the Count. Bring all snorkel gear and sack lunch (or concessions are available at the Inlet). The snorkel instructor will carry a diver down flag and slates for fish tally will be loaned to all particpants, but all other gear must be provided by particpants. Suitable for experienced snorkelers ages 12 and up, all minors must be accompanied by a participating, supervising, adult. Suggested donation $25. Please call (321) 723-3556 with any questions or email joy.winet@brevardfl.gov.
