Please purchase one REQUIRED - Scenic Drive - Driver ticket (so we can collect your vehicle information) per vehicle/order and one Scenic Drive - Passenger ticket for each person in the vehicle.

As we are a Porsche Club, this event is limited to Porsches only.

Join us for a drive to through the Redwoods, Roads and Route 1 in Northern California. Starting in Fairfield we will head north and driving by Lake Berryessa on our way to Lakeport for lunch. After lunch we will continue north on Hwy 101 making a stop at the Drive-thru Tree Park in Leggett, then continue north to the Avenue of the Giants to enjoy a drive through the old growth redwood forest. Friday's tour will end at the Historic Scotia Lodge and dinner at the Eel River Brewing Company in Fortuna, CA.

Saturday's drive takes us from Scotia to Weaverville and back on Hwy 299, Hwy 3, and Hwy 36. This route takes us on Scenic Byways well known for their turns and elevation changes. We will make a stop at the Strawhouse along the Trinity river (a popular stop for the Shasta/Zone 7 Tour) for lunch, before heading back to the Scotia Lodge. Dinner will be at the Samoa Cookhouse in Eureka.

The drive home on Sunday, will take Hwy 1 starting at Leggett to Albion where we will take Hwy 128 to Hwy 101. The tour will end at the Petaluma Factory Outlets. Our lunch stop (on your own) for this leg of the tour will be at Noyo Harbour in Fort Bragg.

Hotel Accommodations:

A block of rooms at a 10% discount are reserved for this tour the historic Scotia Lodge in Scotia, CA. The room rates run from $387 to $513 for two nights (excluding taxes). Please click here to reserve your room or contact the Scotia Lodge and let them know that you are with the Diablo PCA. Please reserve your rooms by Tuesday, June 20, 2023. After that date any unreserved rooms will be released to the public.

Meals:

  • Friday Lunch (On your own) - We will be stopping at Library Park in Lakeport (this is the same location as the Clearlake Tour) where there are several restaurants to choose from.
  • Friday Dinner (included) - Eel River Brewing Company, we are working on a preset dinner for Friday evening. Eel River Brewing Company serves burgers, sandwiches, classic pub food, and full dinner platters. Their food pairs well with their award-winning brews made in Humboldt County
  • Saturday Lunch (included) - Strawhouse Cafe, all you can eat wood-fired pizza.
  • Saturday Dinner (included) - Samoa Cookhouse, take a step back in time at the Samoa Cookhouse for a family style dining experience! Samoa Cookhouse is an all you can eat restaurant that serves recipes made from scratch.
  • Sunday Lunch (On your own) - We will be stopping at The Wharf in Noyo Harbour (Fort Bragg), or you may choose another restaurant in Noyo Harbour.

  • 12:40 PM - Drive-thru Tree Park, Leggett, CA
  • 5:00 PM - Scotia Lodge
  • 6:30 PM - Dinner at Eel River Brewing Compnay

Saturday (~250 miles)

  • 8:30 AM - Assemble at Scotia Lodge for Tour Directions and Safety Briefing
  • 9:00 AM - Depart Scotia Lodge
  • 11:30 AM Lunch at Strawhouse Resorts & Cafe
  • 5:00 PM - Scotia Lodge
  • 6:00 PM - Dinner at Samoa Cookhouse

Sunday (~230 miles)

  • 9:00 AM - Assemble at Scotia Lodge for Tour Directions and Safety Briefing
  • 9:30 AM - Depart Scotia Lodge
  • 12:00 PM - Lunch at Noyo Harbour
  • 4:30 PM - Petaluma Factory Outlets

Route: The tour routes will be emailed to tour participants approximately 1 week before the tour.

Drivers are responsible for the proper function and safety of their vehicles. Your vehicle should be well maintained with brakes and tire tread above the minimum wear levels. Know the location of all the safety equipment of your vehicle. Sweep vehicles are available for your safety, not to repair your vehicle.
