In this three-week class you will create a three-color reduction relief print, printing a new layer each class. If you want to learn how to create a multi-colored relief print from start to finish, this is the class for you!
This is a great class for beginner printmakers and more advanced art-makers will enjoy the opportunity to create a set of reduction prints. You will need to do some carving at home between class sessions in order to complete this class. More advanced students will be welcome to create larger or more complex prints which will require more carving time. Each student will print an edition of 5 prints of their design.
We will be carving a soft industrial rubber making your continued print practice more economical.
As part of the material cost, each student will receive a carving tool. For an optional aditional cost, you can get a set of oil-based printing inks to keep.
Registration ends: January 24th or when the class is full
IMPORTANT: This is one class that will occur over 3 thursdays. When purchasing your ticket, please select the first date. You only need to pay once to be registered for all three thursdays. Please reach out to email@example.com if you have any questions!
