Learn how to avoid lawsuits by reducing risk for medical malpractice.

About this Event

Luzerne County ranks between 4th and 7th highest county in the state for number of malpractice jury verdicts. Physicians need to improve knowledge on preventing malpractice through quality and safety, avoiding medical errors, and responding to depositions as a defendant, retained expert witness or treating physician.

Dr. Gerald Tracy, M.D. brings years of experience and has presented on medical malpractice many times with physicians and lawyers for both professions.

Learning Objectives:

  • The role of quality and safety in avoiding medical errors; the types of depositions and knowledge of the physician’s role and resources available to help
  • How to identify situations which have the potential for medical error and the ability to prepare for a deposition
  • How to mitigate situations that have the potential for medical error and to prepare properly if deposed
