Training Description:

With up to one in four children struggling with anxiety, overwhelmed adults need an effective and practical toolkit of strategies. Using case studies, humorous stories, and descriptions of common challenging situations, participants will learn easy-to-implement strategies and interventions for reducing students' anxiety and increasing self-regulation and self-monitoring skills.

Training Objectives:

At the conclusion of this training, audience members should:

  • Understand the impact of anxiety on a child's learning and behavior.
  • Be able to describe why common teacher practices and interventions might not work for students with challenges such as anxiety-related and oppositional behavior.
  • Know effective interventions that are easy to implement in a busy classroom.
